In response to the more than 2,000 missing children reported in the
United States each day, DIGIKIDS®
offers a Child Safety CD that allows parents to quickly provide law
enforcement officials, the media, the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other agencies with two high-resolution
digital photos along with medical and identifying information to aid in
recovery efforts.
ELLSWORTH, Maine -- (Market Wire) – December 4, 2006 – James Karst has been
selected to launch the exclusive DIGIKIDS®
child ID franchise
for Ellsworth and the Hancock County area, announced Michael J. Childs,
DIGIKIDS® president.
DIGIKIDS® offers a child safety CD that allows
parents to quickly provide law enforcement officials, the media, the
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and other agencies
with two high-resolution digital photos along with medical and identifying
information to aid in recovery efforts.
“DIGIKIDS® provides me an opportunity to represent an innovative and
essential service to help Acadia area parents leverage technology in
protecting their children,” James Karst explained.
James Karst, a native of New Hampshire, is a career military law
enforcement/police supervisor and criminal investigator. In addition, he has
been active with church youth activities for a number of United Methodist
Churches in North Dakota and Maine. Currently, he works as a substitute
teacher in Ellsworth.
He is married to Son Yong Karst, a research laboratory technician at Jackson
Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Offered through schools, preschools, churches, summer camps and other public
events, DIGIKIDS®
delivers its secure child ID kits on site in two minutes or less. With its
patent-pending technology to create each Child Safety CD, DIGIKIDS® offers
parents anywhere a secure and efficient tool that can help speed the return
of lost or missing children.
According to the NCMEC, acting within the first
20 minutes of a child’s disappearance is critical.
“Because he understands that
the safety and security of children requires innovation and vigilance, James
Karst is an ideal representative for DIGIKIDS®,” said Michael Childs. “We
are proud to have him on the scene in Ellsworth for DIGIKIDS®.”
